In Megamart Mayhem, you're dropped into a hostile shopping environment where time is your greatest enemy, and you're all alone. No allies, no help—just you, your shopping list, and the relentless need to collect every item before the clock runs out. Sounds familiar? Maybe it’s not too different from your last grocery trip when you realized the store was closing in ten minutes.

We built Megamart Mayhem to make you think about the everyday chore of grocery shopping?  What does shopping mean in our overstimulated world? How does the pressure of "getting it all done" impact us? And more importantly, how do we find fun in the midst of chaos?

A Journey of Growth and Lessons

Creating Megamart Mayhem was a journey in itself. We learned not just the skills of pixel art and coding but also the challenges of project management. Our bare-bones concept for the game made us realize how much time, energy and resources could elevate it to its full potential. Along the way, we discovered the importance of making even small games meaningful and the pitfalls of scaling a project too small.

Publishing the game proved to be yet another trial. Posting it was a challenge in its own right, but we managed to submit it to our TA using Canva. Despite all the hurdles, Megamart Mayhem became more than just a game; it was a trial of values, a lesson in game design, and a moment for team building. It’s an experience we will never forget.
